My family and I have visited Dusit Thai many times over the last 10 or so years. This Thai restaurant is on the higher end of all Thai restaurants in Perth and we usually bring all our ‘older’ out of town guests here for a nice family styled meal. Dusit Thai has never failed to disappoint and the quality has been consistent over these many years.
On our more recent visit here we booked through the Dimmi 50% off promotion. You’d think that restaurants may frown upon guests that book on a special deal or come in with a discount voucher but Dusit Thai still maintained their high quality service and food.
What we ordered (we ordered the smaller serving size of all the dishes below so we could try more varieties. For blogging reasons ofccourse!):
- Golden flowers (prawn, chicken and corn tartlets) $10.50 for 4 pieces
- Crispy soft-shelled crab $16.50
- Tom Yum soup $12.50 per person
- Grilled lamb rack $36
- Green Bean Vermicelli Salad with Seafood $27.50
- BBQ Beef Salad $23.50
- Massaman Curry Beef $19.50
Panang Curry Chicken $19.50
- Pineapple fried rice $22.50
Can you believe that the bill was only approx $80 for 4 people? Hehe but that’s cause we had the 50% off promo. Even at $160 for a dinner for 4 people isn’t so bad. I really enjoy the food as it is very authentic!
There is not one single dish that I didn’t like. Don’t you just love the way the pineapple rice is presented? I hardly eat rice (not a fan of carby food) but I demolished this rice! Mmmmmm….such a good balance of flavours. My mum was saying that they probably reuse the pineapple (gross) but hey ignorance is bliss :p
The restaurant is great for big parties as it can sit over 100 people I reckon. Well…it looks like it to me but I’m really bad at estimating (especially someone’s age)!
